The Mural Gazer is a story developing on two levels: on the one hand, it’s about fictional characters Bernice and Harry Sanderson’s lives and times in Chemainus, B.C.; on the other, it’s about story-telling in the 21st Century, using the internet and digital media to bring audiences into a tales as they unfold. It’s that second part I want to talk about on this Intoit page.
Can:
- social media draw people into the story before it’s published in book form?
- readers actually tell me where to go (politely of course) as episodes get imagined, selected and written?
- ‘set piece theatre‘ productions be mounted, and enactments used in graphic novel formats?
- networks be developed, connecting with people who have memories or experience about Mural Gazer scenes and themes?
Those are just some of the exciting, fun activities I want to attempt with The Mural Gazer. I hope you’ll join in the telling of Bernice and Harry Sanderson’s story, and share your knowledge of our community with me. It’s going to be quite a ride.
